What is the Content Library feature?

Last updated: September 30, 2026

Overview

Content Library is the central place to store, organize, and manage all of your creator media — along with the usage rights attached to each asset. It replaces the previous Content Rights area, with one key upgrade: rights now belong to each individual media asset rather than to a whole collection.

Use this feature when you want to:

  • Centralize all approved or uploaded creator content in a single library

  • Set and track usage rights per individual media — Unlimited or a custom validity window

  • Manage rights across many items at once with bulk actions

  • Find media quickly by status (pending / approved / denied)

  • Keep variations of the same asset together (e.g., the same video in different dimensions)

  • Get warned before usage rights expire, so you never run content you're no longer licensed for

Requirements

Make sure that:

  • You have access to the Meta Ads Suite plan

  • Your Meta Ads integration is connected (required to use content in ads and track usage)

  • You have creator-provided media and agreed terms for usage rights

Important limitations

  • Content Library is a management-and-warning tool, not a blocker. It flags expiring and expired rights, but it does not stop you from running content.

  • Rights are set per media asset. Keep variations of a single asset together so they share the same rights context.

  • Creator assignment is separate from rights. You can upload media without a creator and assign one later — individually or in bulk.

  • Migration is complete. Existing rights were moved automatically from collection-level to item-level on release. No brand action was needed.

Getting started with Content Library

Depending on your current setup, there are three ways to start filling your library:

1. You already have media and agreed rights

  • Upload the media directly into the Content Library and set the correct usage rights per item (or apply them in bulk).

2. You spotted organic content in Social Listening

  • Request usage rights straight from Social Listening. Once the creator approves, the content flows into your library.

3. You're collecting content through SuperBrief

  • Set default usage rights at the campaign level, and override them per item as approved media arrives.
