How to set up your Content Library
Last updated: September 30, 2026
Overview
Setting up your Content Library means getting your creator media into one place and attaching the right usage rights to each asset. You can add media by uploading it directly, or let it arrive automatically from SuperBrief and from Social Listening rights requests.
Use this feature when you want to:
Upload creator media into a single, searchable library
Set usage rights on each asset — Unlimited or a custom validity window
Assign a creator to media (now or later)
Apply rights to many items at once with bulk actions
Set default rights for content collected through SuperBrief
Important behaviors
Rights are per media. Each asset carries its own rights — Unlimited or a custom validity window — instead of a one-size-fits-all collection setting.
Creator assignment is decoupled from rights. You can upload media without a creator and assign one later, individually or in bulk.
Bulk actions handle partial success. When you apply rights to many items at once, the library clearly reports which items succeeded and which need attention.
It's a warning tool, not a blocker. Setting rights flags expiring and expired content — it doesn't prevent the content from being used.
Step-by-step
1. Open the Content Library
Go to the Content Library from the sidebar.
2. Add your media
Upload creator-provided media directly. Media collected through SuperBrief or approved via a Social Listening rights request appears here automatically.
3. Set usage rights on each asset
Choose Unlimited or a custom validity window (a start/end date range) for each media item.
4. Assign a creator (optional)
Link the media to the creator who provided it. You can skip this and assign later, individually or in bulk.
5. Apply rights in bulk (optional)
Select multiple items and apply the same rights at once. Review the partial-success summary to confirm every item was updated.
6. Set SuperBrief campaign defaults (optional)
For content collected through SuperBrief, set default rights at the campaign level so submitted media arrives pre-configured — then override per item as needed.
7. Save
Your media appears in the library with its current status (pending, approved, or denied).
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q1. What's the difference between Unlimited and a custom validity window?
A. Unlimited means the rights don't expire. A custom validity window sets a date range; the library warns you as the end date approaches so you can renew before running the content again.
Q2. Can I upload media without assigning a creator?
A. Yes. Creator assignment is separate from rights — upload now and assign the creator later, on its own or in bulk.
Q3. Do usage rights block me from running an ad?
A. No. Content Library is a management-and-warning tool. It flags expiring and expired rights but doesn't block usage.
Q4. How should I handle variations of the same asset?
A. Keep variations of a single asset (e.g., the same video in different dimensions) together so they share the same rights context.
