TikTok Shop - Triggers & Actions
Last updated: October 29, 2026
If your TikTok Shop is connected to Superfiliate, automations can react to what happens with your TikTok affiliate creators and act on their behalf: messaging them, and approving or rejecting their sample requests. This article covers the TikTok Shop triggers and actions available in the automation builder.
Requirements
Your TikTok Shop must be connected to Superfiliate.
Your plan must include TikTok Shop. See Which automation triggers and actions are available on your plan.
Trigger: Creator Status Change
Fires when the status of a creator you invited to a TikTok Shop target collaboration changes.
Statuses you can react to include:
Invited: the creator received your collaboration invitation
Sample review pending: the creator requested a sample and it is waiting for review
Ready to ship / Awaiting sample arrival: the sample is on its way to the creator
Content pending: the creator has the product and still needs to post
Product added to showcase: the creator added your product to their showcase
Completed: the collaboration is complete
Rejected / Cancelled: the collaboration did not go ahead
Common use cases:
Send a thank-you message when a creator adds your product to their showcase
Remind creators in Content pending to post
Tag creators who complete a collaboration so you can find them later
Trigger: Order Milestone Reached
Fires when a creator reaches the number of TikTok Shop orders you specify (for example, their 10th order).
Common use cases:
Congratulate creators who hit a sales milestone
Add top performers to a SuperBrief or tag them as VIP
Trigger: Sample Request Created
Fires every time a creator requests a free sample of one of your products on TikTok Shop.
This is the trigger to use with the Approve sample request and Reject sample request actions below, so you can review requests automatically based on the creator's profile.
Action: Send TikTok Shop message
Sends a message to the creator through TikTok Shop. You can personalize the text with variables such as {{ tiktok_profile_handle }}.
If the creator has no TikTok profile linked, the step is skipped for them and the automation continues.
You can edit the text of this step even after the automation is live.
Action: Approve sample request
Approves the sample request that started the automation. Available with the Sample Request Created trigger.
Action: Reject sample request
Rejects the sample request that started the automation. Available with the Sample Request Created trigger. You must choose the rejection reason that TikTok Shop shows the creator:
Doesn't match (the creator isn't a fit for the product)
Offline (the product is no longer offered)
Out of stock
Other
Example: review sample requests automatically
Trigger: Sample Request Created
Conditional split: the creator's TikTok follower count, GMV or units sold is above the threshold you choose
Yes path: Approve sample request, then Send TikTok Shop message thanking the creator
No path: Reject sample request with the reason "Doesn't match"
Variables
In addition to the standard creator variables, TikTok Shop triggers expose:
Variable | What it is |
| The creator's TikTok handle |
For conditions, you can also use the creator's TikTok stats: followers, GMV, units sold, generated orders, average video views and average LIVE views.
