How to manage your Content Library
Last updated: September 30, 2026
Overview
Once media is in your Content Library, this is where you find it, update its usage rights, assign creators, and stay ahead of expiring rights. Think of it as your organized, searchable home for every approved or uploaded creator asset.
Use this feature when you want to:
Find a specific media asset quickly
Update the usage rights on an existing asset
Apply rights changes across many items at once
Assign or reassign the creator on one or many assets
Spot and renew rights that are expiring or expired
Keep your library organized as content comes and goes
Important behaviors
Rights live on each media item. Editing one asset's rights doesn't affect the others around it.
Bulk actions report partial success. When you update many items at once, you'll see exactly which succeeded and which need another look.
Creator assignment is independent of rights. You can reassign a creator without changing rights, and vice versa.
It warns, it doesn't block. Expiring and expired rights are flagged so you can renew — the content isn't automatically stopped.
Step-by-step
Find media
Open the Content Library from the sidebar.
Use Search to jump to a specific asset.
Use Filter by status to narrow to pending, approved, or denied.
Filter by creator to see everything tied to one person.
Edit rights on a media item
Open the media asset.
Change its rights to Unlimited or adjust the custom validity window.
Save. The new rights apply to that asset immediately.
Manage rights in bulk
Select multiple assets from the list.
Apply the rights change to all selected items at once.
Review the partial-success summary to confirm every item updated, and retry any that didn't.
Assign or reassign a creator
Open an asset (or select several for a bulk change).
Assign or change the creator.
Save. This doesn't change the asset's rights.
Track expiring and expired rights
Filter or sort to surface items nearing their expiration date.
Renew the rights (extend the validity window or set Unlimited) before the content runs again.
Tips for organizing your library
Keep variations together — group the same asset's different dimensions so they share one rights context.
Assign creators as you go — it makes filtering by creator far more useful later.
Review expiring rights regularly — renew ahead of time so campaigns never pause.
Use status filters — check pending items so nothing sits unapproved.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q1. Does changing rights on one asset affect others?
A. No. Rights live on each individual media item, so edits are isolated to that asset.
Q2. What do the statuses mean?
A. Pending = awaiting approval, approved = cleared for use, denied = the creator declined. Use the status filter to work through each group.
Q3. Can I reassign a creator without touching rights?
A. Yes. Creator assignment and rights are independent — change one without affecting the other.
Q4. What happens when rights expire?
A. The item is flagged as expired. Nothing is auto-stopped, but you should renew before running the content again to stay compliant.
