What are Links & Codes Setup

Last updated: October 9, 2026

Overview

A Link & Code Setup is a reusable bundle of reward rules you build once and apply in many places — so you don't re-enter the same settings every time. One setup can power as many programs, SuperBriefs, or individual creators as you like.

A setup bundles your reward logic: the discount your referred customers receive, how and when creators earn, the safety rules that protect against fraud, and any cashback. Configure it once, and any change flows to everything using it.

Rewarding a creator for Meta ads is set up separately. Paying a creator a percentage of ad spend when their content runs as a Meta ad is configured on the Meta side and credited to the creator's Meta balance — it isn't part of a Link & Code Setup.

Codes are generated by Code Setup. How each creator's code is built — any prefix or suffix you add, and whether creators can suggest their own code — is defined in Code Setup when you create a program, SuperBrief, or independent code. See How to configure Link & Code Setup.

Use this feature when you want to:

  • Set up your reward logic once and reuse it across many programs, SuperBriefs, or creators

  • Update rewards in a single place and have changes apply everywhere automatically

  • Run a promotion once and have it cover everything on the setup

  • Keep a tidy, searchable library of your reward configurations

  • Understand how a setup's status (assigned, unassigned, or archived) affects what's using it

Important behaviors

  • Configure once, reuse anywhere. Set up your reward logic in a single place and assign it to as many programs, SuperBriefs, or creators as you like.

  • Edit once, update everywhere. Changing a setup automatically updates everything assigned to it — immediately.

  • Every setup has one of three statuses:

Status

Meaning

Unassigned

Created, but not yet linked to anything. Edit freely.

Assigned

Linked to one or more active programs, SuperBriefs, or creators. Still editable, but changes apply immediately to everything linked.

Archived

Hidden from the main list. Can be unarchived at any time.

  • Status changes automatically. A setup moves from Unassigned to Assigned the moment something references it. You can manually Archive or Unarchive from its row menu.

Step-by-step

1. Create a setup

Build your reward logic in the 4-step form. See How to configure Link & Code Setup for the full walkthrough.

2. Assign it

Select your setup from the reward step when you create or edit a program, SuperBrief, or an individual creator's code. Its status automatically flips to Assigned.

3. Manage it over time

Edit, duplicate, or archive the setup as your campaigns evolve.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q1. Where do I set up Meta ad commission?

A. On the Meta side. Paying a creator a percentage of ad spend is configured there and credited to the creator's Meta balance — it's separate from a Link & Code Setup.

Q2. Why can't I archive my setup?

A. Because it's still assigned to something active. Remove it from those programs, SuperBriefs, or creators first, then archive. Once archived, it leaves your active list and can be unarchived at any time.

Q3. Can I edit a setup that's already in use?

A. Yes, but changes apply immediately to everything using it — there's no "publish later" step. Test carefully before saving on busy production setups.
