Prevent code leakage with codes generated at checkout

Last updated: September 29, 2025

What Are Codes Generated at Checkout?

Instead of assigning each creator in your program a fixed code like NAME10, every time someone clicks their referral link a unique, one-time code is generated for that shopper to use at checkout.

  • Each code can only be redeemed once (no two shoppers can use the same code).

  • The format will look something like: NAME10-XKAOEYWX or NAME10-SIO823AB.

  • Every shopper who clicks the link gets a different code automatically applied to their cart.

Why Should I Enable Them?

Because the codes can’t be reused, they cannot be leaked to coupon websites or discount-sharing services.

Enabling this option is especially helpful if you’ve experienced:

  • Code leaks leading to unauthorized discounts.

  • Over-inflated affiliate commissions.

  • Leadership or compliance concerns around brand protection.

By using one-time unique codes, you reduce risk while keeping your affiliate program secure and fair.

How Do I Enable Them?

  1. Go to the Settings of the program you want to protect.

  2. Find the section called Program Safety.

  3. Toggle Unique Codes via Creator Link to Enabled.

Once enabled:

  • Creators will no longer have a single static code to share.

  • Instead, their link will generate unique, one-time use codes whenever a follower clicks through to shop.
