How to Reject and Approve a Conversion
Last updated: October 29, 2026
Overview
You can manually reject approved conversions to prevent internal tests and potential fraud from impacting Superfiliate reporting. This action removes the conversion data from all reports and dashboards, revokes the creator's commission, and provides a refund on any Superfiliate success fees.
If a conversion was mistakenly rejected, you can now manually approve it to reverse the rejection and restore it to an approved state.
Use this feature when you want to:
Remove fraudulent or test conversions from your reporting
Reverse a rejection that was made in error
Restore a conversion's commission and reporting data after investigation
Important limitations
Rejecting a conversion
The Merchant is credited back for the fee, and the creator's commission is revoked. The credit is visible in Shopify billing activity.
The creator's balance reduces only to zero — negative balances are not permitted.
The conversion is removed from all reports and dashboards.
Both the merchant and the creator see the rejected status in their respective dashboards.
Automations previously triggered by the conversion remain active and are not reversed.
Gifting implications:
Unlocked but unredeemed gifts become re-locked.
Redeemed gifts remain unchanged.
Approving a rejected conversion
Only rejected conversions can be manually approved. This action is not available for conversions in pending or approved states.
A conversion can only be manually approved once. After manual approval, the option will no longer be available for that conversion.
Once manually approved, the conversion cannot be rejected again. This prevents back-and-forth changes and ensures data integrity.
Billing behavior:
If the original Superfiliate success fee was already charged and refunded when the conversion was rejected, a new success fee will be charged upon approval.
If the original success fee was already charged but not yet refunded, no additional fee is charged, the original charge remains in place.
The creator's commission is restored and re-processed.
The conversion reappears in all reports and dashboards with an Approved status.
Shopify order tags are updated automatically to reflect the new status.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q1. Can I reject a conversion that was manually approved?
A. No. Once a conversion has been manually approved, it cannot be rejected again. Make sure the conversion is restored before approving it.
Q2. Will the creator receive their commission back after I approve a rejected conversion?
A. Yes. When you manually approve a rejected conversion, the creator's commission is re-processed and restored to their balance.
Q3. Will I be charged a Superfiliate success fee again when I approve a rejected conversion?
A. It depends. If the original fee was refunded when you rejected the conversion, a new fee will be charged upon approval. If the original fee was not refunded, no additional fee is charged.
Q4. Why don't I see the option to approve a conversion?
A. The approve option is only available for conversions that are currently in a Rejected state and have not been manually approved before. If the conversion is pending, already approved, or was previously manually approved, the option will not appear.
Q5. Does approving a rejected conversion re-trigger automations?
A. The conversion is re-processed after manual approval, which may trigger certain post-processing workflows. However, automations that were originally triggered by the conversion are not reversed or re-triggered.
Q6. Are manual rejections still irreversible?
A. No. Manual rejections can now be reversed by using the Approve conversion action. However, once a rejected conversion has been manually approved, it cannot be rejected again — so the manual approval itself is irreversible.
